Deep features of the right plantar region. In front of the tuber calcanei, the stump of the Flexor digitorum brevis (1), at the medial edge, the Abductor hallucis (5), near it, the tendon of the Flexor hallucis longus (6) can be identified. Lateral to them, the Quadratus plantae (4) can be seen partly resected. In front of it, in the depth of the sole, notice the tendon of the Peroneus longus traversing the deep plantar region (3). Laterally, observe the spared Abductor digiti minimi (2) as well as the Flexor digiti minimi brevis (10). The following structures are also labelled: Flexor hallucis brevis (7), oblique head of the Adductor hallucis (8) and most distally, the resected tendons of the Flexor digitorum longus (9).
